Maegan Scott specializes in organizational change and transformation, offering consulting services ranging from executive coaching to large-scale strategic planning. She brings a decade of experience in philanthropy and nonprofit management, along with 15 years of experience in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). From 2008-2017, Maegan served in many capacities at the Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer Foundation—a private foundation based in the Washington, DC region—designing many of the Foundation’s capacity-building programs and managing a $1 million portfolio of organizational effectiveness grants. Maegan also served as an internal consultant to the Foundation, leading a process to embed a racial equity lens in the organization’s grantmaking strategy and internal operations. She approaches her work with an equity and justice lens, with goals of dismantling systems of oppression and uplifting the voices and experiences of marginalized and invisible peoples. Maegan has consulted with complex, international NGOs in both the Global North and the Global South. Her consulting portfolio also includes change efforts with national and international businesses in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. 

Maegan has a bachelor’s degree in international studies from American University, an executive certificate in nonprofit management from Georgetown University, and a master’s degree in organization development from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. She is a licensed administrator of the IDI (Intercultural Development Inventory), and she integrates Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design in her practice.
